Dunkan – Biography

Dunkan

```
Dunkan doesn’t just write music—he translates life between cultures. Born in the U.S. and raised in Italy, he’s the embodiment of duality. Fluent in both English and Italian, he weaves his identity into every lyric, creating a sound that’s emotionally raw, melodically sharp, and completely unbound by borders. His voice is that of a kid who grew up between extremes—bouncing between the manicured world of corporate America and the gritty backstreets of Italian adolescence. That tension, that fusion, is where the art lives.
His life wasn’t scripted for a music career. Rugby was his first religion, until injuries pulled the rug out. What came next was instinct. Music wasn’t a plan—it was survival. “Making a track gives me the same high as scoring a try,” he says. He went all in, obsessively learning to record, mix, and master—engineering not just sound, but a vision.
That vision has since taken center stage. Dunkan made significant contributions to the gold-certified track “La Mia Parola” by Shablo, featuring Italian heavyweights Guè Pequeno, Tormento, and Joshua, which premiered at the Sanremo 2025 Festival.
Now signed as a publishing artist with Thaurus Music, Dunkan is embedded in one of Italy’s most respected music institutions. He’s been tapped to write for Shablo and and continues to collaborate and engineer for Joshua, contributing to some of the country’s most talked-about projects. His fingerprints are on songs that millions hear—but might never realize came from someone who grew up rapping between languages and recording in bedrooms.
Musically, Dunkan is as adept at singing as he is at rapping. His style—a smooth, melodic rap with bilingual lyrics—sits in the same sonic lane as Post Malone, Mike Posner, and Jack Harlow. He doesn’t just blend genres; he bends cultures, shaped by a life straddling both worlds.
And while the music industry is full of artists chasing charts, Dunkan is chasing connection. “I want people to feel something real,” he says. “I want them to know they’re not alone.” That honesty—combined with his technical skills as a professional engineer—makes his music hit harder and stay longer.
With momentum from Sanremo, a gold-certified single, and publishing credits with Italian A-listers, Dunkan is now preparing a series of bilingual releases aimed at bridging the Atlantic and introducing his sound to the U.S. market.
Away from the mic, he’s just as layered. A sports addict. A strategic thinker. A dreamer who wants to open a restaurant with his brother. He cooks like he writes music—bold, no pretense, with ingredients that don’t follow the rules.
Dunkan is the voice of the in-between. Not trying to fit in—just trying to be heard. And now, the world is starting to listen.
